THERAPY FOR ANXIETY

with Ilana Lane, Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist

As an anxiety specialist offering teletherapy in over 40 states, I have extensive experience helping clients break free from the cycle of overwhelm, perfectionism, and self-doubt.

Are You Experiencing These Signs of Anxiety?

Anxiety can often disguise itself as productivity or ambition. But underneath the surface, it can feel like:

  • Overthinking and second-guessing every decision – You might spend hours analyzing or replaying situations, trying to get everything “just right.”
  • Perfectionism that leaves you drained – No matter how much you accomplish, it never feels like enough.
  • Fear of failure or judgment – You may avoid taking risks or struggle with impostor syndrome, worrying that others will see through your “flaws.”
  • Difficulty relaxing or slowing down – Even during downtime, your mind keeps racing with to-do lists, deadlines, or worst-case scenarios.
  • Physical symptoms like tension, racing thoughts, or poor sleep – Your body might feel like it’s constantly on high alert, making it hard to recharge.

These patterns can lead to burnout, strained relationships, and a sense of disconnection from the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

The good news is that therapy can help you learn how to quiet the noise and regain a sense of balance.

My Approach to Anxiety Therapy: Evidence-Based, Supportive, and Individualized

My approach to anxiety therapy is designed to address the unique needs of busy, ambitious people who may be striving to achieve both success and balance in their lives. My clients and I work together to help them gain a deeper understanding of how anxiety is showing up in their lives and learn practical tools to manage it effectively.

Within a supportive and collaborative environment, I flexibly utilize components of evidence-based therapies for anxiety, while also individualizing them to each individual client and their unique lives, goals, and values. Integrating components of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and compassion-focused therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we’ll work together to:

  • Challenge perfectionism and self-doubt: Learn to embrace imperfection, trust your abilities, and let go of the need to prove your worth.
  • Manage worry and overthinking: Develop techniques to quiet your mind and focus on what you can control.
  • Set boundaries and protect your time: Create space for rest, joy, and connection without feeling guilty.
  • Rebuild confidence and clarity: Identify what truly matters to you and align your goals with your values.

Through therapy, you can break free from anxiety’s grip and create a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and fulfilling.
